Privacy Policy

PageKit is a browser extension for inspecting, editing, reviewing, and exporting the content and visual styles of webpages selected by the user.
Information processed
To provide its features, PageKit processes the active page URL, visible webpage content, element selectors, image and video URLs, theme styles, user-applied edits, locally uploaded replacement media, and generated export images or PDF data.
How information is used
This information is used only to scan the selected webpage, apply edits, display change history, restore or reset changes, and create user-requested exports.
Local storage and retention
PageKit processes information locally on the user's device. Edit history and project state may be stored in extension-managed browser storage until the user resets those changes or uninstalls the extension. Temporary inspector state is retained only for the browser session.
Data sharing and transmission
PageKit does not transmit inspected webpage content, browsing activity, user edits, uploaded replacement media, or analytics to an external PageKit server. PageKit does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties and does not use user data for advertising.
When a webpage already references third-party images, videos, or other resources, the browser may continue loading those resources from the website's existing providers as part of normal page operation. PageKit does not add an independent analytics or data collection service.
Permissions
PageKit requests browser permissions only to display its side panel,
inspect and edit the active webpage, store local change history,
generate screenshots and searchable PDFs, and save user-requested
downloads. The debugger permission is used only for
Page.printToPDF after the user requests a PDF export and
is detached immediately afterward.
Security
All executable extension code is packaged with the extension. PageKit does not execute remotely hosted code.
User controls
Users can reset individual edits or all edits in PageKit. Users can remove locally stored extension data by uninstalling PageKit through Chrome's extension management page.
Changes to this policy
If PageKit's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the changed behavior is released.
